- didn't go to art school, but grew up doing art and got a double major in business and spanish
- as time went on she continued to do creative things through gifts or volunteering, but art faded out of her life in college - got a severe concussion: couldn't speak, impaired memory and balance - encouraged to paint afterwards, got into abstract expressionism and found that her symptoms were disappearing Reflection: I all, I was quite impressed by the freedom Mrs. Theodora has when making her pieces. Due to her head injury, she used art as a coping mechanism and a medicine towards healing again, and in the process grew to love and develop her artistic voice. I believe this is something we all need to learn - doing art just to do it is fundamental to our journey with whatever medium or concept we work with. For me, it is easy to get caught up in deadlines or dig too deep into finding a concept that it can be hard to love what I do, but hearing Mrs. Miller speak I was quite inspired to just have more free time set aside to do art.

Added music and edited parts of the animation together in iMovie. Lastly, uploaded the finished product to YouTube for easier viewing and college applications.
Added a new character to the animation, finishing the drawing aspect of the piece. Still have yet to create sound and music to finalize everything. Additionally, I need to put all these parts into iMovie to piece it all together.
Over the past two weeks I have been working on a new animation, focusing on concept (keeping a playful tone to my piece) as well as other tweaks like making a title slide and adding sound. The most challenging part so far is making sure everything flows well, controlling all of the moving components at the same time. Currently, half of it is done which is surprisingly quick, but I still need to add sound and finish the rest.
During these past few days of figure drawing practice, I have been able to explore an abundance of different types of drawing: from gesture drawing to complete contour to a mix of both, I have been able to grow in terms of my exploration as well as getting used to doing full figure drawings in a short amount of time. I am especially happy with my improvement with showing the flow of the figure through searching lines and gesture. In terms of what I still need to improve, I believe getting a more accurate figure in a quicker time would be a good thing to focus on. Additionally, making the gesture drawings lighter while darkening contour lines is an important skill to work on. By doing this, it would make the figure look a lot clearer and defined while being able to keep the accuracy of the piece. Finalized the animation, added all frames together.
Created background images, figuring out some motion. Created background for animation and started on polishing key frames.
